Throughout the ages we have celebrated over wine. Whether it be gathering with business colleagues, friends and family, or functions such as holidays, picnics and worship services. In recent times, it is a great excuse to gather friends to explore, taste and understand the many wines out there today. We can make the journey to understand wine simple or complicated, from the recreational wine consumer to the sommelier.

I enjoyed wine from an early age, beginning with the white wine my mother served at Thanksgiving dinner, but as the years progressed, I started getting more interested in the process and different types of wine. I have created this resource to educate the beginning wine enthusiast and maybe educate the experienced as well. I have included the history of wine, common grape types, the process, introduction to tasting, and the types of glasses that one may want to have while enjoying their wine.
